Michelle, the founder and creator of SkinMed is a creator in more than one sense. Not only is she a passionate innovator in skincare but an amazing mother.
Michelle believes that we should nurture our skin in the same way we nurture our loved ones. Let us be inspired by the touch and nourishment of our skin. Let it be the way we connect to our loved ones.
Michelle's inspiration came from the moment she realized what skin and its nourishing qualities meant to the world around her. As George Elliot beautifully said, “my life began with waking up and loving my mother’s face.”
This resonated with Michelle, the moment her child innocently looked up at her face. They looked at her image and recognized she would be their nurturer, their carer, their warrior and their world.
This realization was the beginning of the inspiration behind the brand, SkinMed. Michelle tells us “to love my skin, was to love my children and allow them to stay in love with the image they have of me as their mother.”
As mothers and busy women, we do not need to disregard the importance of skincare to help those around us. We need to nourish it to stay deeply connected to how we make them feel.
