How Do We Reverse Signs of Aging

Tips For Reversing Signs Of Aging
Just like any other process, aging cannot be stopped, but it can be slowed down. You have probably seen so many celebrities that look 20 years younger than they are, and some that look 15 years older than they really are. We tend to ask ourselves all of the time: "How do they do it?". While there are a lot of cosmetic procedures available, there are also lifestyle changes that you can apply to your everyday life. These changes are small and relatively easy to follow, and they will not only reduce the visible signs of aging like wrinkles, discolorations, and fine lines, and changes in body shape but also slow down your internal body's signs of aging too.

SUNSCREEN IS YOUR FRIEND
This is the most obvious one, and it's the most important beauty advice, so we are mentioning it first. Sunscreen is a valuable anti-aging tool, and it should never be overlooked or forgotten in your beauty routine. You need to wear sunscreen every day, no matter the forecast. Sunscreen prevents premature skin aging, protects your skin from harmful UVB (burning) rays and UVA (aging) rays, and protects your skin from a lot of harmful effects of the sun.

SLEEP
A lack of sleep can physically age our body, and those signs are very often visible on our faces. As we become more sleep deprived, puffy, and tired skin, deep and dark circles under the eyes, and changes in abdominal weight are going to appear. Several studies have shown that sleeping less than 5 hours per night can make us look between 4-5 years older than we actually are. The average night sleep you should aim to get is 7-9 hours per night. It will leave you well-rested, in a good mood, more energized, and it will show on your skin.

GOOD NUTRITION
There are a few concerns when it comes to quality nutrition, but the most important ones should be insulin regulation and blood sugar levels. This might seem a bit intimidating and hard to obtain, but it all comes down to eating balanced meals, especially focused on vegetables and not overindulging in simple carbohydrate foods. Just like you feed your body with everything you eat, you feed the skin as well, and you should try to eat fresh food as often as possible. Turning to whole foods rather than processed foods and not overeating is also strongly associated with slower aging. The signs of following a healthy eating regiment are going to be felt in your whole body, but they are going to be visible on your skin.

STRESS MANAGEMENT, MEDITATION, AND DOWNTIME
To put it simply, your body needs rest and downtime to restore itself, and your skin needs it too. When we are constantly moving, on the go, and rushing through our busy lives, our systems don't have time to rest, and they don't have time to repair. A little bit of relaxation, meditation, and just stillness is going to get your sympathetic nervous system out of the constant state of work and into the parasympathetic state of relaxing, and this is going to allow for cellular repair to slow down aging.
